I came here at age 18 (in 2009). Usually Filipinos, due to lack of k12 education, go into university at age 16. I'd be 2 years late in Filipino standard. Plus they are more controlled by their parents until they have a very nice job and are nearly ready to marry. My mom gave me freedom to choose even if she doesn't agree; for I was of legal age in the US to not have to be fully in control by my parents. Boy- How could I not enroll?
