International NKYR Academy (INA) Press Launch in Davao City

The International NKYR Academy (INA) had their out-of-town campaign in Davao City last June 3, 2010. Seeking to professionalize massage therapy in the country, Cebu's International NKYR Academy unites with the Department of Health(DOH) to help individuals through the specialized education which they offer, and bring massage therapy into the mainstream for general health care.

So they called out a press conference held Thursday at the Crown Regency Residences, where INA executive officer, and official spokesperson Maria Teresa Tatara, said "We wish to make professionals out of ordinary or regular massage therapists, and give them better chances of landing jobs anywhere. With a license to practice massage therapy, coupled with an advance training certificate, they can go places."

When the conference got underway, an audio-visual presentation was presented in front of the press featuring the mission, vision, and goals of their office. The International NKYR Academy envisions an individual who has  developed, and will embody a nurturing life of service; as shown to them by the perfect example in the washing of the feet that Jesus did to his disciples,  a society healed by the hearts with a hand, and sees massage therapist as a profession worthy of emulation and praise. Their main objective is  to professionalize the vocation of massage therapy.

Later on, it was revealed that INA will open a training center in Davao City, as well as on other key cities nationwide. With this, the massage industry of the Philippines will gradually make it on the list of the countries that offers the best massage services in the world. Since traditional health care systems in the world recognize massage therapy as one of the best ways on treating illnesses, I am hoping that such laws, concerning licensure for professional massage therapist, shall be fully enforced.
