Davao-Aussie

May 25, 2010 by

Greetings to everyone! I actually don't have any idea on how to start with this one and how to go through with it, but I'll try my best to do so.

I'm Christine A., also known as Aia.  My friends, or should I say "barkada" (in Filipino term), used to call me by this nickname because I'm linked to one of the most talented female vocalist of a band in the Philippines; Imago. They say I'm so like her with the way I sing and move on stage every time we perform (when I started to join a local band four years ago). I am 24 yrs. old, and many wouldn't believe that I am, maybe for the reason that my features would tell that I'm a petite woman. I am currently living in Melbourne, Australia and maybe you would wonder why I got here in this site, where in fact, this is "Davao City Living". But hey, I am a pure Dabawenyo and I would always be proud to be one. I was born in Davao City and my parents are Dabawenyos too. I finished my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at San Pedro College last 2008, and blessed to have passed the NLE that I took the same year. Last year I had this opportunity to migrate abroad together with my Mom and younger brother, but most of my years were spent in Davao City really. So, isn't that a great reason to be on this site?

Anyway, it all started when the owner of this blog site, Jawz, happened to post something on Facebook asking if anyone is interested to join and blog on his site. So, here I am! I'm really looking forward on blogging my insights about Davao City, and maybe tell  differences of the city where I grew up from the place where I am now. It's really a great privilege for me to be here aside from the fact that it's my first time to be blogging in someone else's site. I've started blogging, having my own blog site years ago, but I had the thought of challenging myself to blog in a different way. My blogs are really just about my personal life, and now, I'll be having the chance to share what I have to say about a certain place where my heart used to be and will always be.

And so, this is just the start of imparting what I have to say about Davao City, and of course, the country Philippines as well. I am really hoping that I could make it here.
